Shri Uday Deshpande

Padma Shri · Mallakhamb Vishwa Guru

A legendary sports pioneer popularly known as the ‘Mallakhamb Vishwa Guru’. Honoured with the prestigious Padma Shri in 2024 by the Government of India, he has dedicated over 50 years of honorary service to reviving and globalising this traditional martial art. As Chief Coach of Mumbai’s historic Shree Samartha Vyayam Mandir, he has mentored numerous state and national awardees. A visionary leader, he founded the Vishwa Mallakhamb Federation, created the international rulebook, and trained over 5,000 enthusiasts across 52 countries. He is deeply celebrated for using Mallakhamb to empower orphans, delinquents, and visually challenged students globally.

Dr. Neeta Sanjeev Tatke

Academic & Sports Psychologist

An accomplished academic and sports psychologist. On the global stage, she coached the historic six-member Mallakhamb team, including four visually challenged students, that performed at India House during the 2024 Paris Olympics, and she serves as a Technical Committee member for the Vishwa Mallakhamb Federation. Holding a Ph.D. in Sport Psychology, she has extensively contributed to sports documentation, research, and training initiatives, particularly involving visually challenged students and Adivasi children. She recently retired as the Vice-Principal and Head of the Department of Psychology at D.G. Ruparel College, Mumbai.

Sabbir Alam

Partner & Business Head, VMERGE AS

A seasoned sports management professional with over 18 years of experience in large-scale event operations, government advisory, and franchise management. His career highlights include leading venue operations for the Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, managing operations for Mumbai City FC in the ISL, and co-authoring state sports policies for Jharkhand and Haryana while at Ernst & Young. Currently serving as Partner and Business Head at VMERGE AS, he builds cross-border alliances with Bundesliga and international football clubs.

Sanjay Dhavalikar

Senior Management Leader, BFSI

A seasoned senior management leader with a proven track record across the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector. Sanjay brings deep expertise in strategic planning, operations management, and risk & compliance, having led and scaled large-scale operations and enterprise transformation projects at leading organisations such as ICICI Bank, ICICI Prudential Life, SBI Life, and SUD Life. An execution-focused leader, he excels in IT systems implementation, SLA-driven service delivery, and process optimisation using methodologies like Six Sigma to drive operational excellence.

SportsMark is an initiative of Pragmatyx Sports Network Private Limited. It exists to give school sport in India the independent evaluation and visibility it has long lacked, applying the same rigour to sport that academics already get.

In practice

Independent auditors, not the schools themselves, decide where a school ranks. Every ranked school gets a public profile and a place on the national leaderboard, and the same standard applies to all of them.

A results-driven professional with extensive experience spanning sales, marketing, client servicing, and business development. Amod brings strong leadership qualities and sharp business acumen, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, acquire new clients, and nurture emerging markets. A dedicated sports entrepreneur, he is the founder of Pragmatyx Sports Network and has previously served as a Director at Germinati Sportz Private Limited. His core expertise includes internet and web marketing, online branding, high-profile event management, and crafting effective marketing strategies in close coordination with service teams to ensure seamless operations.

Chetan Chavan

Director, Pragmatyx Sports Network Pvt. Ltd.

A dynamic leader recognised for his expertise in team management, strategic target setting, and business execution, highlighted by five years leading exclusive insurance distribution for the BROCA channel at HDFC Life, where he drove strategic tie-ups across Mumbai, Bengaluru, Maharashtra, and Karnataka. Chetan is an accomplished entrepreneur and director. He serves as a Director at Pragmatyx Sports Network Private Limited, and has been an instrumental co-founding force behind landmark ventures like the Jaipur Wax Museum and Germinati Sportz Pvt Ltd, driving strategic tie-ups and business volume growth.

Krish Roy

A seasoned professional with nearly two decades of experience in international business development and client servicing. Krish holds a Master’s in Applied Sport and Exercise Psychology from the University of Wales and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from India, bringing extensive corporate and government sector expertise spanning the UK, Australia, and Canada. Deeply passionate about sports for development and accessibility at all levels, he is a true global citizen who also runs grassroots sports and social welfare programs across India and Kenya.

Ranadeep Mukherjee

Head of Operations, German Football Academy

An experienced sports leader with over 9 years of expertise spanning grassroots development, digital strategy, and content management. Ranadeep currently serves as the Head of Operations at the German Football Academy and has worked as a Digital Reporter for Football Sports Development Limited, curating native digital content for the Indian Super League. Additionally, he leads a pan-India grassroots development program in football that impacts over 500 kids. He brings a dynamic blend of operational leadership, grassroots youth engagement, and digital sports media experience.

Founder & CEO, Alera Consulting Services Pvt Ltd

Founder and CEO of Alera Consulting Services Pvt Ltd, a Nagpur-based technology firm that implements and customises enterprise software for businesses across India. A technology leader and entrepreneur with extensive experience in building scalable digital platforms, Om brings his passion for technology and sports together to create innovative solutions for the sports industry. With a strong background in software development, system architecture and product strategy, he leads the technical vision and execution behind SportsMark, from school registration and independent audits to the national ranking engine.
