How Ranking Works

The SportsMark Ranking Score

Every ranked school on SportsMark goes through the same independent evaluation by multiple auditors. It is not a self-reported badge or a marketing claim.

The process

From registration to ranking

Four stages, the same for every school in every city.

  1. 1

    School submits its data

A school registers and completes a detailed self-declaration covering facilities, staff, policies, participation and its achievement history.

  2. 2

    Independent audit

SportsMark allocates independent auditors who review the submission by desk review of documents or an on-site visit, and assess it on their own.

  3. 3

    Quality review

SportsMark's team reviews the audit outcome before anything is published. Any adjustment is recorded with a reason, never made silently.

  4. 4

    Result published

The school's ranking, star rating and achievement level go live on its public profile and on the national leaderboard.

The result

What a ranked school gets

SportsMark Ranking Score

A single score, the SRS, that places a school on the national leaderboard and lets parents compare schools like for like.

Star rating

An at-a-glance rating shown on every ranked school's profile and search result.

Achievement level

District, State, National or International. It recognises the level at which a school's students have competed and won.

Integrity

Our commitments

Rankings are only useful if schools and parents can rely on them. These commitments don't change.

Auditors stay anonymous

Auditor identity is never shown to the school. This keeps auditors free from pressure or contact. It is a standing integrity policy of the platform, not an option that can be switched off.

More than one set of eyes

Each school is reviewed by multiple independent auditors, so no single opinion decides a ranking.

Evidence over claims

Self-declared data is checked against supporting evidence. A claim without proof does not earn recognition.

A right to appeal

Once a ranking is published, a school can raise an appeal. Every decision is answered in writing.

Questions

Common questions

Does it cost anything to be listed or audited?

No. Listing and audit are free. A school only needs to submit the data the audit requires.

What does a school have to do?

Register, complete the self-declaration form and provide supporting evidence when asked. SportsMark handles the rest, including allocating auditors.

When does a school's ranking become public?

Only after the audit is complete and SportsMark has reviewed the result. Nothing appears on the leaderboard before that.

Can a school see who audited it?

No. Auditor identities are confidential, always.
